You will always be blessed with the lethal contributions of the group known as Scienz of Life. Using the terms blessed and lethal together in one description may seem like a contradiction in terms, but to be artists in this world of hip hop, you better bring the heat and leave the listeners with a musical anointing. Don’t get it twisted; boasting of gun toting is not SOL’s m-o. Beats and rhymes become the bread and wine stronger than any bullets – and as an offering, Scienz of Life serves up a hip hop communion where each taste takes you to the next level of thought.
The brother to brother alliance comprised of ID 4 Windz and Lil Scienz, Scienz of Life have traveled where many a hip hop artists have trekked. Beginning their journey in the Bronx and followed closely by Far Rockaway (Queens) NY, the duo absorbed the essence of their environments, and would later translate it with musical accompaniment. Inspired by legends such as KRS-1, Slick Rick, Brand Nubian, and KMD, the duo had enough influential ammunition to pack for their mass Exodus to the land known as New Jeruz… and the sum of this would equal the birth of Scienz of Life.
ID 4 Windz is the instrumentalist advisor responsible for the majority of Scienz of Life's production. The true genius behind this producer is his amazing ability to create music that sounds different every time it touches the ears. He runs free from the producer disease of common familiar sounds and spotability, i.e. when one hears a beat and knows exactly who made it. Each of ID's beats sound like a totally different person created each one. ID can also be heard blazing the microphone spitting distinctive abstract rhyme flows over the tracks as complex as tidal waves and as subtle as ripples in still waters.
Lil Scienz is the political advisor responsible for all politics and networking for Scienz of Life. The Clark Kent of the group, he is by day hip hop businessman and by night hip hop lyricist. A great communicator with a distinctive voice, Lil Scienz spits fluidly over the tracks. Lil Scienz also holds a few battles titles under his belt. He is currently awaiting release on his solo album The John Robinson Project Produced by MF DOOM.
Collectively their style runs free from the over-used sound of a few good artists the younger generation of rappers choose to emulate. The science behind SOL’s style is their aim to flow by their own standards. This line of purpose is reflected in their current release titled “The Blaxploitation Sessions”.
