There was a adult book store called Broadway Books, I forget what street it was on, in downtown Minneapolis. It had all the types of books it sold painted on the top of the building. So it read: Drama / Suspense / Mystery / Sci-Fi / Western.... I just put Sci-Fi and Western together in my head and there you have it. For two year before I started the band I spray painted the name in very vacant lot and alley I could find. -Dwolfe
Sci Western way coined by Dave Wolfe in 1984. The Original Sci-Fi Western Band Was Born 1986 and stopped playing live around 1993. Half the members or SCi-Fi Western starting The Vibro Champs.
WE CALLED OURSELFS "INDUSTRIAL COUNTRY," AND THAT WAS ABOUT IT. YOU KNOW... BACH TO BUTTHOLE SURFERS. WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO SAY. WE JUST TOOK IT FROM ANYWERE WE COULD FIND IT AT THE TIME. THE WEB DID NOT LINK US ALL TOGETHER AT THAT TIME. HARD TO REMEMBER THAT FAR BACK. RECORD HUNTING WAS FUN.
