About me: Strings Attached is a full-service luthiery offering expert repair on all stringed instruments. To name a few: electric and acoustic guitars and basses, banjos, mandolins, autoharps, harps, hammered dulcimers, charangos, and the entire viol family of instruments.
Strings Attached is owned and operated by Jeff, who has a great passion for stringed instruments and has enjoyed playing and working on them most of his life. Jeff is a certified Luthier, having studied and trained at Luthier’s International School of Guitar Building and Repair. He took the plunge in September of 2003, opening his luthiery on Main Street in Columbia, South Carolina.

Jeff began his business largely through referals from musicians, other repair facilities, and local music stores. Presently the only advertising is word of mouth and Strings Attached Luthiery has enjoyed much growth over the past 5 years. Strings Attached Luthiery also buys, sells, and appraises vintage and other instruments. Please let us know what your needs and questions are, we will be more than happy to help.
