I am 30 years old and was born on 19th July 1976 with blonde hair and green eyes.

In 1989 when I was 11 I found out I had Idiopathic Scoliosis (unknown cause), this threw my life off track somewhat as I had to have an operation to correct the spinal curvature. I had this surgery and came out much taller and pain free, although this has changed over the years and I fight pain on a daily basis, I use aids such as a walking stick and a wheelchair when I go out to socialise - sitting in various chairs with bad support can cause my Flatback Syndrome to give me grief and more pain.

Dr Jackson carried out this surgery on 2nd March 1989 and did a wonderful job, my fusion is very solid and goes from T5-L1 and a compression rod fromn T6-T10.

Over the last few years I have thrown myself into helping others with Scoliosis and devoted 2 years of my life researching information, new technologies and procedures. You could say I am Nutty about Scoliosis!
