Lori Ann's Interests
General
Reading, writing, singing, music -- been into country music lately, politics, crafts, baseball -- Go Red Sox!
My stepkids' reaction to the news that they were going to have a little brother.
Music
Recently -- Gretchen Wilson, Toby Keith, Sugarland, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw...to me country music today doesn't sound like the old twangy stuff from years past, but is sounding more like light pop.
Movies
I like a lot of different genres, as long as its well made and appeals to me.
Favorite all-time films: "Passion of the Christ", "Army of Darkness"
Favorite 80s Films: "Airplane!", "Back To The Future" series, "Indiana Jones" series

Married to a wonderful Englishman named Doug. :) Have two stepkids. I like music (getting into country music lately), reading, writing, singing, politics, movies, crafts...anything that keeps me occupied.
Doug got me into watching "Doctor Who" again (I hadn't seen it since I was a kid), so I got a kick out of the following sketch. Those who remember the Christmas episode with the bride or have started watching season 4 will recognize Catherine Tate, who plays the insolent student, as his current companion Donna.
Who I'd like to meet: I put all these nifty things in this space, and I forgot to write who I wanted to meet.
Kevin Smith, Penn and Teller did meet them (sort of) at the meet and greet after their show (see blog entry for details), Steven Spielberg, Peter Jackson, David Duchovny, Brendan Fraser, Ben Affleck (just because he seems like the coolest guy)

My MySpace page is a pre-launch mockup site preparing for my official recording launch date... but if you click on the paragraph that yaps on about me, it will allow you to e-mail me. I read every e-mail and respond to every e-mail personally.

You are amazing; thanks again!
Test your personality/mathematical prowess with this new test!
.......... You scored as Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel . Snappy dresser, man about town, and the first to use parallax to calculate the distance to a star. You took the world of astronomy by the short and curlies and dared to use positional measurement alone to determine the location of unseen planets. I mean Hello? Who else won the Gold Medal of the Royal Astronomical Society in 1841? It was all you baby.
Hey Lori-
What school are you applying to? The MEd in English sounds like a great fit for you. I'm currently applying for the post-master's certificate program at Keene State for School Counseling, so I can relate to your application stress!
