Movies
Do not usually have time to watch movies but when I do I like thrillers, war movies, anything with a really good story (not bothered about silly special effects) - favourite 'Saving Private Ryan', worst - 'Pearl Harbor' total crap!
I watched 'Hannibal Brooks' again the other day, what a great film showing a different side to ww2 + it stars a true legend Oliver Reed.
Love Laurel and Hardy and stuff like that- priceless!
Anything with Bill Murray in it is usually good!
Oh,and did I mention Spinal Tap - awesome!!
Television
Comedy shows mainly. 'League of Gentlemen' brilliant series
Faulty Towers, Porridge, Alan Partridge, Ali G., The Office, Bo Selecta, Little Britain, Green wing etc.
But I like History and Scientific programmes too, and bizarrely, make-over and home improvement programmes!
Nostalgic movies from the fifties and sixties, love the old cars etc. Not really into soaps, but keep my finger on the pulse for conversation's sake!
Books
Hundreds of them, mainly reference books because I love learning. To get good at anything you need to learn alot about it. Read alot of magazines too, as well as biographies - you get to find out so much about the people that you thought you knew!
Heroes
This list is exhaustive, but here's a few to be getting on with - Bon Scott RIP, Jimi Hendrix RIP,Carl Fogarty, Ron Jeremy, Valentino Rossi, Steve Hislop RIP, Joey Dunlop RIP, Barry Sheene RIP(the original witty charmster whom I greatly respected) Beyonce Knowles!, Steve McQueen RIP, Lemmy Kilmister,Nori Haga,John Peel RIP, Hugh Heffner, Angus Young, Slash, Moylesy, Bernie Clifton and Rod Hull!RIP, Keith Moon RIP, David Attenborough, Ronnie Barker RIP, Oliver Reed RIP, Jack Black, Paul Merton, Robert DeNiro, Clint Eastwood, Dan Stokes!,Mark and Lard.........hmmm there's a pattern developing here, they are nearly all hellraisers and alcoholics, that lived life to the max!! Did I mention Kenn Dodd? !!
About me: What can I say? My intention is to get through life by having as many laughs as possible - usually at the expense of my friends!!
I take each day as it comes, and try to enjoy myself where possible. I would describe myself as a pro-active laid back person - if that makes sense!! I would also say that I'm creative, dogmatic and charismatic. Some may say that I like to blow my own trumpet, but alas, this is untrue!
Mottos:
'You only live once!' 'Dont talk about it - do it!
And as the great god Lemmy once said:
'The answer to life's mystery is simple and direct - Sex and Death!' I couldn't have put it better myself!!
Who I'd like to meet: Anyone with a good imagination and a sparkling sense of humour(sometimes the sicker the better!)
Anyone that can introduce me to new types of music.
Anyone who shares any of the same interests as me, or can interest or educate me in anyway. I am always keen to learn and will try anything once (well almost anything!)
Anyone into Classic Italian scooters (mainly lambretta and vespa) check out our club website www.westonscooterclub.co.uk
Anyone with a bit of zest for life with a creative streak, and who can think for themselves! I like girls who can offer stimulating conversation!

The Roadhead Chronicles goes from the Cold War Fifties Pop Culture of classic cars and rock n' roll to the spaced out Spare Change Sixties of Vietnam and Hells Angels. Not the usual look at the era, instead It's written by someone who lived it and spent a life of being on the road from his beach bum days in Honolulu to the glitz and dangers of the Sunset Strip in LA, and his purple hazed and double dazed days in North Beach and the Haight Ashbury in San Francisco. The Roadhead Chronicles also looks at the history of Route 66, Roadside Neon Culture and old diners and dives!
Mike Marino writes in an offbeat and irreverant style with a beat and a cadence that is all his own. His writing style has been compared to John Dos Passos, John Steinbeck and Terry Southern and one reviewer likened him to Frederick Lewis Allen on acid! Readers and critics call the book "wickedly wonderful", "delightfully weird" and "automotively sexy. "!!
Ha Ha! Love it, that could only have come from either you or Saulus, not sure if it's a good or a bad thing that you thought I may appreciate it though! xx
