Scooter Pietsch is an Emmy nominated composer, music producer, writer/television producer and founder of SPM Inc, a record company based in Los Angeles. He has scored thousands of episodes of television and several films. Scooter releases classical music under his given name, H.E. Pietsch, jazz under the band name Sad Salamanders, world pop under Retro Metro and everything else under “Scooter Pietsch.”
In 2008, SPM released the new CD SUPABEAT by Sweet 17, a blend of hiphop, R&B and Pop music styles featuring the vocals of Dannielle DeAndrea and Jessica New. Pre-release songs from the album have already been featured in 8 television shows and one film. SPM will also release a techno CD by Rem0te in early 2009, and the second CD by Sad Salamanders in spring 2009.

Scooter Pietsch's television scoring career has been heard on Deal Or No Deal, Extreme Makeover, The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency, Meet My Folks, Who Wants To Be A Superhero and many, many others. Films that include his music are Van Wilder, Urban Legends, The Marrying Man, and Persons Unknown. He recently finished scoring the documentary "The Young Americans" directed by Mark L. Walberg.
