Scorched Deity are a Black/Death/Gothic metal influenced band, born on the 24th of september 2006.
Scorched Deity was intended to reinvent the highly influencial metal England got it's reputation for and stamp on the face of shitty trend 'scene, emo, hardcore' bollocks that England now mines.
Originally formed with the vision of creating something new, extreme and evil as fuck, by founding members Phillip Larassey(drums), Nik Sinnett(Lead Guitar) and Ricky Wayman(ex guitar/vocals). They continued to write original songs and would go onto play theirs 1st gig on the 29th of october with the aid of Michael tovey who was never a member, but filled in on bass. Matt Back was soon to take the crown as bassist, and the band continued to gig around the country.
Scorched deity continued gigging in december 2006, but the band lost momentum when late vocalist and second lead guitarist Ricky Wayman left due to external issues in early 2007.
The band later gained vocalist Ben Unwin in June 2007 and began picking stuff up again. They still struggled for a while after that as we lacked a second lead guitar and to avoid dropping out of gigs got Matt to temporarily play guitar instead of bass.
SD continued to audition guitarists, but all seemed bleak. After a few months luck seemed to be on our side and fellow metaller Lloyd McCrossan agreed to have "a jam". The jam proved sucessful and Lloyd officially joined.
SD carried on writing and gigging. After a few months Ben McIlvenna from one of Lloyds previous bands joins as keyboardist. This gives SD the band a further unique edge and completes them as a 6 peice.
Unfortunatly, keyboardist, and all round fun guy, Ben , would leave the band shortly after a successful string of gigs , due to musical tastes.

The band continue to practice with the remaining members.

!!!!!!COVAN (vocalist of DECAPITATED) NEEDS OUR HELP!!!!!!
October 29th, 2007, Covan (vocalist of DECAPITATED), was seriously injured in an accident which involved their tour bus while travelling to a show in Gomel,Belarus. Sadly this accident claimed the life of Vitek(drummer of DECAPITATED). Covan is still going thru a long and difficult recovery and needs our help.
