We, Lorna McDougall and Isabel Paterson are the Directors of scotchsnap.com (see our individual Composer Profiles for more information). The quest to find ways of having our own few pieces published evolved into developing a website to promote Scottish composers and arrangers and to make their music available to a world market.
We both live in the Highlands of Scotland and have a vision to give profile to the variety and quality of music that comes out of Scotland. We live in a truly inspiring land!
We are very grateful to The Highlands and Islands Enterprise for their encouragement and support in making this venture possible. Also to Chris Sharratt, Katie Watts and Douglas Hamilton for their photography. We'd like to thank Lorna's mum Norma and all the other transcribers for their volumes of work. Thanks to Tim and Almut at the National Library of Scotland and a special thanks to Garve and the team at Plexus who developed a great website. Please visit their websites via our links page.
Finally thank you to our friends and family who have witnessed us retreat into the world of the PC.
