Scottish entertainment is well served by these two excellent performers. The classic Scottish songs are served up with outstanding accordion playing all tied together in a neat package with some hilarious banter.
David and Dennis don’t just stick to one style. Mainly they play “In Concert” or for Ceilidh Dancing, but ask David for a tune on his bagpipes to be further impressed, and Dennis’ ability to enthrall kids with an endless supply of songs and divertissement will amaze you.
In concert, they have played to the great and the good of the land, at large functions and small intimate gatherings. The songs are well chosen to reflect the audience and laughter is always an important ingredient. And even if you are indifferent to the accordion, you will be enthused by David’s extraordinary ability on the instrument
At Ceilidhs, they cajole the dancers onto the floor in their own inimitable style and make sure they all have a great time. All the popular dances are covered and called if necessary, but check out their own “Sittin Doon Polka” or the “Parachute Reel” using a real parachute! They are a small ceilidh band but its not the size……
Successful trips to Europe, New Zealand, Australia, Middle and Far East both in the current line up and with former bands, has further enriched their experience underlining their commitment to being Ambassadors of Scottish Music.
