Scott Steward is a well rounded entertainer who has performed in front of millions of people on national television, radio and live shows. Born and raised in California, Scott began playing music at age 5 and by the time he was 14 years old played in a professional football stadium with the Freelancers Drum & Bugle Corps. Scott continued his Corps experience through the age of 21 where he finally saw the first of many childhood dreams come true as he performed as a soloist for the Blue Devils Drum & Bugle Corps - seen in front of thousands both live and on PBS Television.
In the fall of 1995, Scott moved to the Los Angeles area to persue a career in professional entertainment. Within one short month of residence, Scott was hired by the Disneyland resort to be a member of the Magic Kingdom Korps where he performed as a musician.
In January of 2002, Scott auditioned for a part in one of the casts of the Tony and Emmy Award winning Broadway production Blast. Here, Scott again got a chance to exercise all facets of his entertainment skills playing trumpet, percussion and even acting.
In August of 2002, Scott and his wife and daughter moved to Nashville Tennessee where Scott was to join the popular horn band - Denver & The Mile High Orchestra. It was with DMHO that Scott would find himself on various radio stations, many of Christian music's largest festival stages, The Summer Olympics in Athens Greece and the GMA Dove awards. More recently, the band was a finalist on the FOX Television show "The Next Great American Band" produced by the procution team from the hit TV show "American Idol".
From his start in professional music to his move to Nashville, Scott has racked up many other sideman credits as well. Some of which include live and or studio work with artists such as The Drifters, Bill Watrous, Louie Bellson, Buddy Collette, FFH, Mandisa and Melinda Doolittle.
Currently, Scott is continuing his career with Denver & The Mile High Orchestra after five years with the band. In addition to music, Scott is now persuing opportunities to further a more focused career as an actor. When not performing, Scott can also be found working as a contracted instructor with the 24 time Tennessee State Marching Band Champion - The McGavock High School Band.
