I love to create. It's in my blood. I guess I got it from my Father. It started as a child with Lincoln Log castles, Lite Brite masterpieces and Legos spaceships. Then I turned the Lincoln Log canisters into a drum set and embarked on the path of making music. My first band was called The Eagles (I didn't know), I wrote songs about how gross girls were, and our drummer wore a football helmet (shouldn't all drummers wear helmets?). A couple of years later, after stealing girls' hearts in fourth grade as Elvis in the school talent show, I knew I was on to something.
I spent my teens and early twenties developing skills in keyboard, trumpet, bass, guitar, voice and composition--earning a music degree along the way. Despite the civil war of being an artist and a jock, I was a part of various groups, including jazz, rock, classical, funk, pop and boy band impersonation.
In 2003-2004, I fulfilled my dream of touring with a rock band. After 28 states with Luminous, I decided to part with my beloved bandmates and take a shot on my own in NYC. Since then, I have been honing the craft of songwriting with the help of my band Brightmoor (check out our new music). Until that pays the bills, I am privileged to work as a counselor for homeless men at New York City Rescue Mission.
Hey Scott -love your music!! Its always great meeting other worship leaders/ artists/missions enthusiasts. :-) Let me/Joanna know if your band ever brings you out to Chicago!! Blessings...
Love the new song, Thyrhymnosorous Wrecks! I fly east tomorrow for 2 weeks. I would do anything to be at the Brightmoor show on the 14th. I will see what strings I can pull... You're on my list of must-see bands. That would KILL!

I've been having random daydreams/flashbacks of that Indian restaurant quite frequently. If only you were there today with the flashing lights, Indian techno pumping through the speakers, and yummy mango ice cream.
Whatever you're doing today, I hope it's top drawer!!! And remember: you're bringing giddy back!
When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about."
bro - the alumni soccer game was fun but we could have used your defensive prowess. i played the whole time and felt like an old stiff bloke the next two days. Cheers from Springfield.
Dude! where you've been? hope you are doing well.. in the midst of writing a new song.. for my theology class as a class assignment lol what a great class! I get to sing and learn .. want ya to hear it when you have some free time..

Tammy and I were in attendance at Tri-City August 26th and were blessed to run into Bill and Anita Abbott (the proud parents of Scott). We had a great time in the Lord and it reminded us of how much we miss their fellowship and the fellowship of our Christian Family at Tri-City.

mr.abbott, i've talked it over with my people and i think it's time for a new profile picture...it is possible that this is the second time i sent this memo, because i can see myself sending a lame comment like this one.
Abby the Massey will be here on the same dates (staying with Rob and Jen)... you wanna scratch camping and all of us head to the beach and maybe one of the parks?
Scott--you and your groupies (aka dad and cuz) are missing out on soooo much MT-July-4-Action! Do plan a visit for next year? I know the skiing is fab, but the whitewater/kayaking/mtn. summits are also spectac~~~later-gator~~~
