General
My Name is Scott Clark and this is my art. Enjoy.
My most cherished interest, aside from being a great husband and father, is to further integrate myself into the world of art, photography and launch my movie script. Nearly all of my artwork, all of which can be seen at, Scott Clark Visions, is a reflection into the world I have created over a period of roughly ten years.
I have many other interests, playing drums (a ture passion) kayaking, mountain biking, hiking but they’ve been put on the back burner for a little while.
Music
I love many forms of music. When I was in middle school and high school I played the Standup Acoustic Bass in orchestra, the electric bass in jazz-band, and outside of school I was involved in a few heavy-metal gigs playing bass as well. A little guitar too, very little. But my true musical passion came when I bought a coveted HUGE! set of drums.
..
I love the classical bits, the jazz bits, but I primarily grew up a metal-head listening to bands like Iron Maiden, I remember the day Pantera debut on MTV with Cowboys From Hell. My taste has varied a little. I typically favor progressive music, TOOL, Pink Floyd, Opeth, Mastodon, Slipknot, Dream Theater, etc...etc.
More favorites. Nine Inch Nails, Alice in Chains, Slayer, (Pre- Load) Metallica, (First concert I ever went to) Megadeth, A Perfect Circle.
I also dig really complex, playing music for so many years has taught me the beauty of odd-time signatures, shifting patterns, and complex hooks. I’ve also learned to appreciate certain Ambient and trance styles of music... it all depends on the head-space I’m trying to reach.
Movies
Growing up, Star Wars was # 1, but now that I’ve matured my taste have change a little. I still dig the First Star Wars trilogy, but the second (strangely the first) was just luke warm, great visuals with no heart. As far a today, Lord of the Rings is tops! Love nearly all of the movies Clint Eastwood has directed, mans a genius. I also love War movies. Loved: V-for Vendetta, Clockwork Orange, Donnie Darko, The Fountain, mostly just plain tipped out movies with a cool or abstract message. I also dig Stupid humor movies, 40 Year Old Virgin, Napoleon Dynamite, and Monty Python’s Holy Grail top my list.
..
Television
Television? Don’t watch it much, have cable or satellite. To busy. But when I get the time I love to watch the Simpsons (perhaps the most honest program today), Seinfeld, South Park, Ren and Stimpy, old school Twilight Zone, and the news because it gives me plenty of insight for creating new artistic images.
My Favorites are NOVA and Frontline.

So that they will respect the land, tell your children that the earth is rich with the lives of our kin.
Teach your children what we have taught our children, that the earth is our mother.
Whatever befalls the earth befalls the sons of the earth.
If men spit upon the ground, they spit upon themselves.

Thanksgiving Prayer
We return thanks to our mother, the earth,
which sustains us.
We return thanks to the rivers and streams,
which supply us with water.
We return thanks to all herbs,
which furnish medicines for the cure of our diseases.
We return thanks to the moon and stars,
which have given to us their light when the sun was gone.
We return thanks to the sun,
that has looked upon the earth with a beneficent eye.
Lastly, we return thanks to the Great Spirit,
in Whom is embodied all goodness,
and Who directs all things for the good of Her children.
