"'Trail Work Blues' is mellow in a pleasing and sort of old-fashioned 'hey let's go sit on the porch and watch the wind blow' way... 'Good Round Glass' stays right on the porch with that subtle sweet horn that's hung around for a little while longer too... Peterson sings of the cold, northern, up-mountain country, and "Song For Washburn" is a mandolin-laced drifter's storytelling session in front of a fire." -Aimsel Ponti, Portland Press Herald 9/6/07 ......................................................... Hello!
RHYTHM IN THE PINES, my debut album is now complete. :) If you'd like a copy i'll certainly mail you one - send $15 to: 17 Mayfield Place, Freeport, ME 04032......... I used recycled cardboard Arigato Pak!s made by Stumptown Printers out of Portland, OR, and (slowly but surely) hand-printed the silk screen on each copy. 200 copies home-made. I use ProTools LE to record the music, a Washburn acoustic guitar and Gibson mandolin to play it, and the good vibes of these other great contributing musicians to create it: Moses Atwood, Greg Donahue, Frank Hopkins, Nora Smiley, Brie Moulton, Justin Shlawin and Gabrielle Raymond. Thank you all!
also, i just listened to the live recording of your pbr/jim beam song and i wanted to say how i wish i'd been there, drunker than not, slammin my fat foot in the front row. but it'll probably happen some time later on. in parts perhaps.
yeah, i know a swede or two. a few swedes up my sleeve, you might say. great that you're hanging with ras mark. guy's the best. truly the best swede up no one's sleeve. i'll be in maine in a few weeks. i hope we can do the exact same thing we did last year this new year's eve, with the same death struggle on the cliff with lucas and everything. i hope you're living real snazzy, loving somethings, hating others, chewing tobacco, asian, julio.
