About me:
I've been in Nashville regularly since 2004, and doing what everyone else in Nashville is doing. My band is Scott Icenogle & A-11. I've also played with Mandolin Mike Slusser in Half Grass and currently play with Ike Jonson and the Roadhouse Rangers, Jen Jones and the Camaros, Dave Cox and the Honky Tonk Bathroom, and David Tanner and the Honky - Tonk a Rama. Mostly, these gigs are at Robert's Western World (Jen Jones' is at Layla's) all in Nashville.I play mostly stand up bass and vocals, though I also play guitar mandolin and banjo. I've been in a number of bands in the Northshore area of Louisiana such as Rusty Bonz, The Remnants, David Easley and the Heartifacts etc.
I'm doing now what I should have been doing a long time ago musically, but what the hell, I'm hard - headed (any laughs?). My background includes being a member of The Louisiana Hayride (Shreveport) for a year (1984), and a regular member of the Old South Jamboree (Walker, La.) fronting for major country music artists and Grand Ole Opry stars before my voice changed and I had pimples. I can't call my original music altogether country (I'm a purist in that sense). It has a lot of blues and psych rock, bluegrass and jazz as well. I do have an album coming out later this year (4 years in the making). Stay tuned.
I was also fortunate enough to meet my beautiful wife Nicole here in Nashville. I had to go 550 miles north to meet a woman who live 60 miles away from me in Chalmette, La. With her I'm truly blessed.
