Original songs by some of my friends. Me, on guitar and stuff.

•"KICKIN' THE NUT" My Latest guitar instrumental I threw together for Myspace. c.2009 I just sum it up like Chickens, Horses and Noodles! A bunch of guitar player influences in this one, like Redd, Ray, Forest, Brad, and Buck & Don. The noodles come from me. Written, played and produced by me. My first try at Garage Band software.

•"PULLING PICKIN' CHICKEN" A guitar instrumental I threw together for Myspace. c.2008 This was something I made up and wanted to record plain and simple. I plugged staight into the amp and mic'd it, using Tele Bridge pups on all the guitar parts. I overdrove my amp for the distortion and the only effect that I used was some delay during the solo parts that was provided by my cheap recording software. Clean and neat! Hope you like it!

•"WAHOO" Me: Electric Guitar: the guitar was Ray's old Tele, Josh Peek: Vocals & Acoustic, "Pap" McCleary: Bass, Chisum Mills: Fiddle, Troy Oaks: Drums, John Inmon: Acoustic

•"ROWDY TIME" Me: Electric Guitar: the guitar was Ray's old Tele, Josh Peek: Vocals & Acoustic, "Pap" McCleary: Bass, Chisum Mills: Fiddle, Troy Oaks: Drums, John Inmon: Acoustic

•"SO LONG" Stevie Swink: Vocals and Acoustic, Me: Everything else, the guitar was a '94 G&L ASAT, Produced by Me

•"SET ME FREE" (Demo). This was the first song I worked on with Stevie and that PC software and then after I got it down on CD my computer crashed! Old cd from about 2003, but I like it! Me: Electric Guitar ('94 G&L ASAT), and PC drums: Produced by Me - Stevie Swink: Vocals, Acoustic Guitar, Chuck Elliot: Bass,
InfluencesRay Flacke, Forest Rodgers, Pete Anderson, Will Ray, Buck Owens & Don Rich, Brad Paisley. Oh, Redd Volkaert, Brent Mason and Beer to name just a small bunch. Also www.jpstrings.com and www.seymourduncan.com. No need for compensation here! (not)
Sounds LikeA string plucker!

   About Scott Lacina Telecaster

Horse Trainer by day and Tele Picker by night... That sums it up pretty well until I find that elusive "fun or interesting gig". Who knows what the next projects in the works are when I get some time, but a coffeehouse (with Telecaster) kinda tune that's been rattling around in my head and a remake of a tune by Ray Flacke and some more Chicker Picker may be fun!

Awh Hell... I just like pickin' guitar!

I love playing Telecasters and "balls to the wall" picking styles and this space has some stuff for y'all to listen to from some of the recordings I've made with friends and by myself.

Here's what some of my guitar heroes have to say about my playing...

Redd Volkaert: .."Bet you can't play that live!.." Oh wait, that's not the one... Here: .."Hell Yeah!.."

Forest Rodgers: .."I like it!.."

Ray Flacke: .."You play to the song!" & "Don't be so hard on yourself!.." Ray has actually said a bunch of great stuff, he's one of my teachers! I just like that last one, because it makes me think harder!

Brad Paisley: .."YOU bought that guitar?!.."

John Jorgenson: .."I'm guessing you're a guitar player!.."

Casper Rawls: .."Nice meeting you!.."

Mr. Gretsch: .."Makes real guitar sounds!.."

Thanks y'all and Yee Haw!!!

Hello Scott,

Thanks very much for the add!
Great country playing! I definitely like your tasty use of double-stops in your instrumentals (I enjoyed the other tracks too).
Greetings from Paris, France;
All the best.
