Scott McDonald is a Pennsylvania singer/songwriter with over 20 years of recording and performing experience. He is fluent in vocals, guitar, bass and percussion.
*** He has performed thousands of shows at such legendary venues as The Wetlands(NYC)++, The Stone Pony(NJ), The House of Blues(MA)++ and The Whiskey(CA).
*** He has recorded several CD’s of original music. His previous 2 CD’s with his band One Cat Left sold several thousand copies each. They were engineered and mixed by Shelly Yakus (John Lennon, U2) and Rick Slater (The Rolling Stones, Yes). Scott subsequently signed a development deal with Shelly and Rick.
*** His most recent, self-titled CD features 12 acoustic originals. The tracks were recorded mostly live in under 24 hours. The album was engineered and mixed by Dave Mosca of Hilltop Studios. Performers on the record include Karl Dietel “The Samples” (Keys), Luke Kessel (Bass), Carol Struble (Harmony Vocals) and Rene’ Bergamino (Harmony Vocals). Scott wrote all the songs and lyrics.
*** He has been reviewed in CMJ (College Media Journal) who called his songs “As simple and memorable as any songs written that year”.
*** He has shared the stage with among others, Levon Helm and Rick Danko(The Band)++, Leslie West(Mountain), Leon Russell and Chris Barron(Spin Doctors).
*** He has recorded with Garth Hudson (The Band)++ and Bernie Worrell (P-Funk).
*** His latest CD was voted one of the 10 best indie releases in Central Jersey* and has garnered interest from Columbia Records.
*** In 2005, he helped arrange and record a version of The Grateful Dead song “The Golden Road” for a Jerry Garcia benefit record which featured tracks by Dave Grisman and T. Lavitz*.
*** Recently won the 2007 Lehigh Valley Acoustic Singer/Songwriters Competition.
