A native of southeastern Kentucky, Scott Napier began his professional career in 1996 with bluegrass legend Larry Sparks. There were many highlights in his 10 years as a Lonesome Rambler which include, a tour of Japan- The 4th of July Celebration at the Washington Monument- A Prairie Home Companion- Alison Krauss and Friends Special on G.A.C.- a mandolin endorsement from Gibson- and numerious apperances on The Grand Ole Opry.

Scott was also a member of the house band on many episodes of the PBS series Woodsongs Old-Time Radio Hour - filmed at the historic Kentucky Theater in Lexington,Ky.
He spent a year touring with IBMA award winning female vocalist Dale Ann Bradley. Appearing on The Grand Ole Opry, as well as her 2006 release - Catch Tomarrow - Compass Records.
He was then recruited by Grammy award winning artist Marty Raybon. Touring the country, playing a heavy schedule of bluegrass and country music. More appearances on the Opry - a bluegrass caribbean cruise - recieved a 5 string electric mandolin prototype from Weber. And bluegrass/country album - This That and the Other -- 2009
One of Scotts major influences mandolinist Dempsey Young past away in December 2006. "I was honored and humbled to get a call from Allen Mills of the Lost and Found, asking if I could play those first shows after Demseys passing. Then shortly after was ask to help finish a half done recording which contains Dempseys last work. The finished c.d. Love Lost and Found 2009 on Rebel Records will always be a highlight in my career."

He is currently working on the final stages of his first solo project Blue Barn guest include Bobby Osborne - Dale Ann Bradley- Don Rigsby- Marty Raybon- Michael Cleveland- Clay Hess- and more... Scott plays a Hutto mandolin 132 and uses BlueChip picks.
