so i guess jess kidnapped my hat, and she gave it back a couple days ago....so now i need a new excuse to come over and cause trouble..any ideas? ill take anything...im sure there are a few bobby-pins floating around...i can run with that if you can.
with the little time I've had to work on it, I've gotten all the mounts in except the passenger side one. I jacked them up under my stepdad's big Buick, worked out perfectly. Still havn't made it to a shop with a hydrolic press. Good luck with yours, that's exciting, get some videos.
I tried to get the insert out of the passenger side mount today, I wasn't successful. besides being careful, have you figured out any special tricks for that one specifically? I wore down a chisel today and basically got nowhere with it.
depending on the flange you need, I might have it. I have the one that came with my bov. Its exactly the same as a Greddy type S so if that's what you need, I can hook you up. Sorry, no gasket though. I had to use that.
Yeah, I'd sell it to ya but it's probably not what you want. I didn't even bother to check to see if the flange was the same, it was the 1. 5 that turned me off right away haha
oh, no that's the stock bov and pipe. it came with the engine. But since I'm using 2.5" IC piping, it wasn't gonna work cuz the inlet is inlet 1.5". Here's what I got...
i miss you so much to scott i just have alot going on my brithday is on the 19 and thats on monday and i dont have school or work we need to get fucked up
That compression ratio sounds about right. I got it from Tiger Japanese engines in Toranto. It was relatively cheap so hopefully I don't get F'd later for that.
very true. I thought about that. Mine was extimated to only have 25-35K miles on it. Who knows how accurate that is. But automatic does make it much less likely somebody was trashing the thing
dude you have no idea how helpful that link was, thanks a lot! I'll give that a try next chance I get. Now getting the inserts in, what do you think of using a vice clamp?
This project has been drawn out for over a year now, I have to save up for every part I get. I work at a Chick-fil-A. I've devoted most of my income to this till it's running. Then I can slow down a bit.
Yeah, money is tight with me right now, every paycheck I'm buying things for it. For the BOV, I just got a piece that was already welded off of ebay, works perfectly. Cost like $15
Oh, we went out the bottom when we dropped it out... then we removed the tranny from the engine and lifted the engine out through the top. Not too bad of a process. This is my first swap.
Well, I work Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 3-8...so anytime before or after! I think I'm kickin it back to Connecticut soon so I'd like to see everyone...including you!...a ton before I go.
