I'm a singer/songwriter living in Boston, attempting to make a career at it, while shelling out lotsa dough to my school in hopes there'll be payback. An investment in a music school in a country that doesn't support what I like. Ah, well. I like music and doing it is what matters, right? Of course right.
Now I just need a band ... trying to put together my own ... step by step. But if it means jamming with an already established or up-and-coming group to see if we click, let's do it. Join Ohio Soldiers concerned about the Iraq War in a formal Appeal for Redress to Congress.
This Sunday military personnel and their families will be at the Ohio Statehouse to present an "Appeal for Redress." The formal ceremony is a short and simple message to Congress:
"As a patriotic American proud to serve the nation in uniform, I respectfully urge my political leaders in Congress to support the prompt withdrawal of all military forces and bases in Iraq. Staying in Iraq will not work and is not worth the price. It is time for U.S. Troops to come home."
