| General | Creating music has consistently given me more satisfaction that anything else I've tried in my life. These days I'm mostly behind the console, but performing live again would be a kick, as my pal Jackson Hall and I often mention to each other while idly passing time. [UPDATE - we have a band now. Yee-haw!] I have a recording studio, Fenario Sound Recording, in Chapel Hill, NC. It's why we moved here in fact. What we can accomplish now compared to back in the 4-trak days is crazy. Though I could quickly spend another $10,000 on equipment if I had it to spend. We have an album we created of our own original stuff, folks says it's pretty decent. Also I read (mostly software manuals), design show horse ads (don't ask), drink coffee every single morning without exception, hang out with my girlie, hang out with my roomies (the best folks I've ever had the fortune of living with), keep software updated, drive my $200 car to Raleigh everyday until it breaks down [UPDATE - It broke down! I now have a fancy $2000 car], ride my new $500 Trek 7300 bike as often as I can [UPDATE - I bought a Trek Pilot! but I still have the 7300], rock out with my **** out, spend time wishing I had more time to finish the things I don't have time to do, increase the size of the stack of cool books I'd like to get read, AND spend too much time on the internet. Just like you. | | Music | I don't subscribe to the idea the we are nothing more than the particular brand of pop culture we enjoy. BUT, since this is myspace and all here goes...

I'll finish this list later... | | Television | the OFFICE, Lost, Heroes, Futurama, Six Feet Under, Northern Exposure, Simpsons, WKRP, Mork & Mindy, Medium, Boondocks, Family Guy, Law and Order any variety, X Files, the Colbert Report, the Daily Show, Airwolf, Dave Letterman, Craig Ferguson. I don't watch a lot of cable so there you go... ALSO, since there's no RADIO section on here --- NPR, specifically Prairie Home Companion, Car Talk, Wait Wait, All Things Considered, Fresh Air, Back Porch Music, This American Life, the Thistle and Shamrock (mostly for Fiona's accent). | | Books | I won't bore you with the multitude of software and hardware manuals, and home recording guides I have read. I have a large stack of life-changing yet still unread books right now. Harry Potter 6 is still on that stack [UPDATE - I finished 6! Still working on 7]. I find that I can't stop stressing about real life long enough any more to sit and read a work of fiction. I guess that's a bad thing... | | Heroes | I got no idols, particularly american ones. I would like to thank my mom and dad though, two of the best people I've ever known and I would not be here without both of them. |

Occasional sound engineer and sometimes Booty Gigglin' bass player. Pretend graphic designer. Frequently mistaken as kind, generous, and sympathetic. Logical, analytical, and rational to the point of annoying my roommates. Mr. safety. Do a good Roberto Benigni impression, but not quite as good since I cut my hair. Often goofiest person in the room, but much more often the soberest. Tech guru and Mac Fanatic. Used to spend a lot of time in deep soul searching, but now spend more time searching for easy ways to forget about my day job (is that the same thing?). Single child of divorced parents. Fighting a laziness addiction as I grow more and more feverish to be creative. Being in NC has helped that. Unabashed Chapel Hillite. Newly rediscovered bike riding & outdoorsy type. Dawning on me yet again, writing is not my strong point... Also, I overuse ellipses...
