Hi, I'm an author and podcaster living in Maryland, USA.
My first novel, a funny, sexy mystery called First You Fall: A Kevin Connor Mystery was released to strong sales and great reviews in June, 2008.
I am also the co-host and producer of Digital Photography Life, a podcast about improving your, er, digital photography life.
Here's a little about First You Fall:
When his friend Allen Harrington's death is ruled a suicide, boy-next-door-cute Kevin Connor-a hustler by trade, sleuth by default-sets out to prove a case of murder. It doesn't help that the victim's grown children, who disapproved of their father's homosexuality, are only concerned about their inheritance. But they're not Kevin's only problem.
Also on the scene are his high-strung mother, who, despite the lack of anything even resembling an invitation, has moved in with him, and Tony Rinaldi, the ex-lover who broke his heart back in high school, now reappearing years later as the lead investigator in Allen's death.
Luckily, Kevin has his handsome best friend Freddy on hand to help him as
they try to uncover what really happened to Allen Harrington. But Kevin's on his own in trying to figure out how to get his mother out of his hair and the now-married Tony back into his bed. Plus, there's a small chance he
might actually be in love with Freddy. Not to mention the demands of his clients like the stirrups-wielding gynecologist and The World's Nicest Sadist. And, oh yeah, did Kevin remember to take his attention deficit medication today?
One of my favorite mystery writers, the brilliant J.A. Konrath, author of Rusty Nail and Dirty Martini, said this about First You Fall:
"Funny, intriguing, and exciting---everything a great mystery should be. There's also a warmth, a passion, a sexiness here rarely found in novels of this genre. Kevin Connor is a terrific hero, and I'm looking forward to his next adventure. Scott Sherman is the gay Janet Evanovich. "
And I didn't even pay him to say that - thanks, J.A. And Janet, if you're thinking of going gay - sorry! I've already occupied that slot.
I used to be the co-host of The Digital Photography Show, one of the world's most popular podcasts on digital photography. In 2007 and 2008, DPS was nominated for two Podcast Awards, include the prestigious "People's Choice" award, putting it in the top ten of over 4,000 nominated shows for both years.
Now, I co-host Digital Photography Life.
