Scott Smith has been a performing artist
for 17 years. An ever changing origional stlye that combines styles of funk, reggae, jazz, latin, hip-hop and pop has enabled Scott to perform in just about any venue and format imaginable.
Scott has been featured at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina opening for many national acts as a solo artist. These shows include heavy hitters such as, The Neville Brothers, Keb Mo, Jethro Tull,and Better than Ezra.
In late summer of 2003, Scott Relocated to Cleveland Ohio from Charleston SC, and built a regular schedule of shows and a strong network of musicians. A stroke of luck paired him up with Cleveland's singer songwriter Joe Rohan, whose contacts and friendship have proved to be priceless. Joe and Scott played many duo shows in the Cleveland area and Traveled to South Carolina for two week tours where they were well recieved by Scott's established venues.
In mid August of 2006 Scott relocated back to the Carolinas and said goodbye
to the fine Cleveland weather...eh hem...
Scott's debut CD entitled "Quicksand Remedies" is finally complete.
Produced by Joe Rohan, the album displays Scott's full band arrangements as well as his Stripped down acoustic style that so many are familiar with.
"Quicksand Remedies" is currently available at all shows and CD baby.com. In it's early stages the new 13 song debut album for Smith is finding
it's way into cars, living rooms, portable players, radio shows and bars
across the united states and abroad.
