I'm not trying to hide anything
I wear it on my sleeve
I'm not trying to be something I'm not
This is all I've got
I'm not trying to re-invent the wheel
Just trying to be real
I'm not trying to say follow me
I'm not the one who leads
Let me introduce myself to you
This is who I am
No more, no less
I am just a man who understands
Because of You I'm blessed
No more, no less
I'm not trying to prove anything
It's all about the change
I hope you stare just long enough to see
The heart that's beating here inside of me
Beyond all of the things you may think you know
I'm just a kid trying to make it home, that's it
No more, no less
Lord, I want to go home
Nothing more, nothing less

Thanks for looking at my page. I am a member of the Team in Training for the Cancer Lymphoma and Leukemia Society. I competed in the Disney America Triathlon the past 2 years and my training will continue in honor of those that mean so much to me. Also, I ran in the Race for the Cure in Charleston and there were so many survivors participating in the event. IT WAS AWESOME TO SEE!
Cancer has touched my life in so many ways and the Team In Training needs your help. You may view my web page Click here. to donate.
This is an ongoing battle and I'm sure some of you have had those around you affected by this dreaded disease. So, please join me in the fight!!!!
This year I represented a local high school student that is battling lymphoma and it is special for me to represent a young person that has the will to fight this disease. WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT AGAIN THIS YEAR
Thanks to those of you that have given on here. I really didn't think this thing would work, so just wanted to say THANK YOU TO ALL THE ONE'S THAT HAVE HELPED ME RAISE THE MONEY FOR THE CANCER SOCIETY. Thanks to the Hampton Inn of Southport, NC, Caledonia Golf Course, Whitmire's Jewelers, Pawleys Island Supply, Cracker Barrell, Carabba's, River City Cafe,Carolina Wings, Myrtle Beach Chrysler, Food Lion, and Catlin Beidler. All of these businesses or people contributed to my auction and hopefully the totals will be posting to my page soon. Thanks to Wal-Mart of Surfside for the donations and the fund raiser. A BIG thanks to Wal-Mart of Georgetown for the $1000 donation, McDonalds of Pawleys Island and Chick-Fila of Murrels Inlet.
Thanks to Bayne and Kim with TNT for helping with all my questions and getting me the auction set-up materials.
Thanks to Caitlin for busting my butt on the running trail and now I think it may be getting me over the barrier.

Riding in honor
Waccamaw boys basketball coach Scott Myers participated in an Orlando triathlon this past weekend. He was riding in honor of Ashley Gaines, a former Waccamaw tennis and soccer player, and Katlyn Gould, a current girls golfer. Both were diagnosed and are still recovering from cancer.
Myers is a member of Team in Training, an organization that participates in cycling and running events to raise money for cancer research. More than $1.5 million was raised in Saturday's event.
Gaines is about to begin a stem cell transplant, while Gould is undergoing radiation treatments.
"Sometimes we as teachers think our relationship with students has to be completely professional," Myers said. "But when you look at them and see them as people - not just students and test numbers - you can be amazed by their courage. It moved me to get through [the triathlon] when I was struggling."
And as all ways thanks to my parents for their help and MOM, you are my angel and I will do this for you and all the things you have given me.
And most of all, thanks to the Man Upstairs for giving me the strength to do this and for helping me build myself back up again. Make sure you cut your speakers up and listen to the song!!!!!
