"If you haven't got an answer/
Then you haven't got question/
And if you never had a question/
then you'd never have a problem/
but if you never had a problem/
well everyone would be happy/
but if everyone was happy/
There'd never be a love song" ...

“A brilliantly cohesive, perfectly-produced batch of instantly-memorable songs that, despite the length of the album, positively begs for repeated plays ... Essential listening.” Tom Hallett, Round The Dial
“A smart collection of rootsy rock songs…” Ross Rahalia, St. Paul Pioneer Press
"A must-hear disc for fans of polished singer/songwriter fare..." Matthew R. Perrine of the Duluth News Tribune.
" ... a superb new album filled with witty and evocative lyrics and tuneful melodies embedded in solid arrangements. Some of the music seems grounded in the roots of alt-country or influenced by new-wave pop. Mostly it can only be called good song-driven rock." Dave Luhrssen, The Shepherd Express
"By combining tight, hooky melodies and sharp, introspective lyrics, Brian and Scott Wooldridge carved out a niche alongside fellow Milwaukee legends like the Violent Femmes and the BoDeans. ... The album, featuring some of the siblings’ most shimmering songwriting to date, is at its best when Scott and Julie Straszewski Wooldridge team up to delivery breathtaking vocal harmonies on gems like the hopelessly optimistic 'This Rain' and the road-weary 'The Last Word.' This taut, mature exposition of alternative pop subtlety at once evokes nostalgia for the Femmes era and adds an impressive chapter to this one." Kevin Kosterman, Milwaukee Magazine
Scott Wooldridge:
Late 80s - Lead singer and writer for the Squares, Milwaukee power-pop band. Released three albums.
Mid 90s to present – Lead singer and writer for The Wooldridge Brothers. Six albums, a number of film and TV song placements.
80s, 90s – music writer and editor for numerous Milwaukee publications, including the Milwaukee Journal/Sentinel, Milwaukee Magazine, The Paper, and The Newsletter.
2000s – Family man. Business writer. Ex-hipster. Open mic geek.
Just to let you know, LOUDRAY is still holding church on Thursdays.
We've been holding it down there for 10 months and as our 1 year
anniversary of this residency approaches we are stepping up the
revival. For the past 8 months we've been joined by some of the finest
musicians in town (Martin Devaney, Ric Lee, Glenn Hanson, Dave Babb,
Jake Hyer, Kurt Froelich, Meg Ashling, Zach Gusa, Eric Larson, Jen Markey, Mother Banjo, Eliza
Blue, Pete Bauer, just to name a few) but for the next 2 months, it's
just going to be the classic LOUDRAY duo of Jon Stowell and Colin
Anderson. We will be digging deep into the back catalog of songs and
bringing some new light through these old windows.
We have been doing these shows in the classic "unamplified" style as of late and look to continue that trend.
So, stop in for some fellowship and true acoustic music, and wash away the week with sweet, redeeming booze.
$2.75 select taps from 5-7pm!!! Plenty of parking!!
Come on, isn't it time to slum it at the Dub!!

So...I'm liking it...Kansas City Girl...Baum wrote well and the theme is eclectic. Afterall...no one really wanted to be Dorothy...but we all are...lost on the road to OZ. Well done, yet again. I will always be your fan.
Hey thanks! Yours was great too. What a fun project. I haven't started playing in the cities yet, but will soon with some buddies from college. Thanks for the comment!
