I admit, I used to watch American Idol until it seemed as if the best singers were being voted off. Other than that it's just old movies and the news now and then. | | 書籍 | They still have books? Oh yes, I've written a few. But I can barely keep up with the jazz magazines. | | 偶像 | Louis Armstrong, Bix Beiderbecke, Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, John Coltrane and every musician and singer around today who performs jazz and other styles of music not just to make a living but because it is part of them. Also anyone who helps improve this planet with their presence and contributions. |

關於我：
Hi there. I have been writing about all styles of jazz, blues and other types of creative music for over 30 years. I am always working on CD reviews, reviews of concerts and club events, liner notes (over 550 so far) and press biographies. My ten jazz books are available from amazon.com. I also have lists available of American radio stations that play jazz, of jazz journalists and, for songwriters, a list of jazz singers who are interested in performing new material.
I just finished compiling a new Jazz Festival Guide that has information on over 240 American and International jazz festivals. I think it can be a very valuable tool for performers.

Every musician and singer needs a well-written press biography and every CD deserves informative liner notes. They help introduce you to the world and assist you in getting gigs, reviews and having your CDs played on the radio. I write liner notes and bios at reasonable rates. Although my specialty is jazz and blues, I can also write about artists from other genres. If you are in need of a bio, liner notes, a press release or writing for your website feel free to contact me.
I live in the Los Angeles area and always like hearing from jazz and blues fans in addition to other interesting people who have a passion for life.

I enjoy meeting people who like going out to see jazz at concerts and clubs. Most of my social life revolves around jazz so it's fun to meet people with a similar interest.
MY FRIENDS LIST:
To be added as one of my "friends," you have to either be someone I know, someone who is involved in the jazz world, or at least take the time to write me an interesting letter. Otherwise I will press "deny" without a moment of guilt. If you are a musician or singer and you don't have the courage or interest to list jazz as one of the main styles of music that you perform (preferably first or second behind blues), then you've dialed a wrong number. I'm also not at all interested in having a My Space friend list of 10,000 people who I don't know.
