Sounds Like
Jazzy, bluesy, Satriani-esque rock playing, solo fingerpicking ala Tommy and Chet....So in short - you never know which of Scott's musical personalities may come out to play, but at his own gigs you are likely to experience the full diapason of his musical expression.
A versatile and very experienced musician, Scott has performed over much of the east coast of Australia in a number of guises. From backyard weddings to festival crowds of 1000’s, he has performed as a solo guitarist, in jazz and rock bands, acoustic blues duos, tribute shows and big bands. In all he has performed around 1500 professional gigs in the last decade, and some of the notable highlights along the way include:
•Opening for the show ‘Greats of Australian Guitar’ at Sydney’s famous ‘The Basement’ club
•A final five finalist in the Australian Guitar Magazine 2007 ‘Australian Guitarist of The Year’ Competition
•Twice nominated as a final five finalist in the Musicoz Awards; the national songwriting competition for unsigned artists. Scott was nominated for best original jazz composition ‘Scooter’s Blues’, and best original arrangement for his solo guitar version of ‘Georgia on My Mind’.
•Competing in the national fingerstyle guitar championships final at the Frankston International Guitar Festival in Victoria.
•Performing at NSW Parliament House
•Playing at the ‘Country Rocks’ showcase at Circular Quay Australia Day 2005 in front of an estimated 20 000 people.

He has also worked as a session musician on various projects, composed music for film and advertising, and conducted workshops on various aspects of musicianship and the guitar. Workshops conducted include using Sibelius software, fingerstyle guitar, guitar tone and effects, ensemble playing and the use if guitar synthesizers and MIDI instrumentation.
His greatest influences and inspirations include Tommy Emmanuel, Eric Clapton, Joe Satriani, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Larry Carlton and Robben Ford. His playing incorporates bluesy bends and articulations, jazzy chromaticism and harmonic concepts, and modern rock guitar techniques including fast legato runs, alternate and sweep-picked lines, and the ability to play a bass line, chords and improvise a solo line over this concurrently. Scott also plays slide guitar and enjoys exploring alternate tunings for the solo acoustic guitar.
Scott is available to perform as a soloist, playing either a solo acoustic set, or a mixture of electric and acoustic songs with backing. He can also perform with a trio (instrumental tunes ala Stevie Ray Vaughan, Joe Satriani, Eric Clapton, Steve Vai, Eric Johnson), or a singer can be added to the mix, bringing in great diversity in style, from rock to jazz, folk, blues and pop music.

Maybe this is one of those cycles of fashion that seem to happen in the music biz (where solo alternative guitar isn't interesting to venues in Sydney)?
Wait awhile. Maybe salt yer regular gigs with the material that you want to play, let the audiences decide?
hear me tellin' anybody what to do. LOL. I dunno. But I have been around long enough to see the same thing go in and out of fashion, either with audiences and/or venues.
Reading your history, it's a bit like reading my own: seems like lots of guitar playing for other folks? (which is what I've done, a lot, and still do a fair amount of)
Took a turning (wrong turning?) a few years ago and kind of discovered my own muse hiding under a thorn bush.
Yeah, I heard Tuesday was a little more in the groove though way less people. I didn't see the show but I went back to give out CB promo CDs after the show as I did on Monday. We shifted 400!
