Scourged Flesh is a 4-piece Death/Thrash metal band from Perth, Western Australia. The band was formed in February 2006 by brothers David and Todd Kilgallon and Simon Bracegirdle. They recorded their debut album "Released From Damnation" in September 2006 and also did a few gigs. Simon also left the band in September 2006 but remains the best of mates with Dave and Todd. Scourged Flesh were also very honoured to have Kalle Ylonen from Finnish metal band In Process play bass for a show in December 2006 - it was a big highlight of the band's career.
In 2007, Scourged Flesh brought in new bass player Scott Lockyer. The band booked more studio time in August 2007 and recorded their 2nd album, "Bury The Lies", which was released in September 2007. They did an Eastern States tour of Australia in September/October 2007, playing in NSW and Melbourne.
In 2008, Scourged Flesh welcomes into the band Daniel Holmes, legendary guitarist of Templar, and Simon Hoggett. New material is currently being written for their 3rd album, due to be recorded in late 2008. The band has just been signed by the label Soundmass. The 3rd album, titled "Welcome To The End Of The World", will be released by Soundmass on the 30th of October 2009.
