Scream Elliott est un power trio de Québec composé de Normand Charest (guitare, voix), Yanick Méthot (basse) et Daniel Santos (batterie). La formation actuelle vit le jour en septembre 2003, mais les membres jouent de la musique ensemble de façon intermittente depuis maintenant près de dix ans. La guitare aussi puissante que la basse égale la batterie qui nen finit plus de défoncer des décibels donnant un contraste fulgurant avec la voix plus douce et mélodieuse. Cest avec plusieurs années dexpériences que ce trio communique instantanément mélangeant mélodies et tapage submergé de contre-temps.
Scream Elliott is a power trio from Quebec City comprised of Normand Charest (guitar, vocals), Yanick Methot (bass) and Daniel Santos (drums). The band came together in August 2003, but the guys D all in their mid-twenties D have been playing music together, intermittently, for almost ten years. The crunching guitar, thundering bass and powerful drums form a barrage of sound against which the softer and more melodious vocals offer an impressive contrast.
The band is at its best on stage, instantly and seamlessly communicating with one another amid their loud, yet melodic brand of music, performing with a rhythmic intensity that comes at you like a shotgun.

Un style qui n'est pas sans nous rappeler certains courants de fond de JOY DIVISION combinés à SYD BARRETT et MARC BOLAN (T-REX) avec le vocal de Normand Charest(guitar,vocal).
Une entrée en matière aux textures KILLERS / STROKES avec IMMATURE et ABOVE ALL, puis une incursion franco de bon ton, rock actuel aux parfums légèrement POST-ROCK à la SUPERGRASS.
OLD AGE et WHEN I DON'T FEEL OK toujours dans la même direction rock-brits bien appuyés par les rhytmes bien tenus par le batteur Daniel Santos, et du bassiste Yanick Méthot.
Une intéressante escale post-psychedelic nous rappelant certains espaces exploités par THE MOODY BLUES notamment avec les pièces I'M SCARED TO LIVE FIRST et MY MONKEY .
Un album fort intéressant de son temps qui n'emprunte rien mais plutot s'inspire, ce qui nous donne l'envie d'y revenir sans comparer, mais observer des tendances d'aujourd'hui fort bien concocter avec ceux d'hier à peine refroidis.
