Scream Sophie was formed in 1999 by guitarist/songwriter Curt Granger and vocalist Tim Ward.
The bands recording, Offerings, was the band's debut full-length CD, released in summer of 2001, and garnered critical acclaim and drew the interest of several record labels, radio stations, and 1000's of new fans across the US. The band's highly anticipated second full length CD Secrets in a Jar was released in 2003 and saw the band progress in a solid direction towards creating their signature sound.
Scream Sophie played hundreds of live shows across the southeast, but late in 2003 experienced member changes, and decided a hiatus was in order.
After a 2 year hiatus, Scream Sophie returned to perform a few select shows to receptive audiences. The band's members are now involved in different projects, but have not ruled out performing or recording together again.
