Here are some things I like, not necessarily in order of importance:
Ghost stories, hair color, DVRs, snuggling up together and watching a movie, brand new puppies, my laptop, stilettos, gift certificates to Sephora, driving too fast, playing in the snow, Hobo Joe's, Hallie's laugh, haunted houses, music that is way too loud, black tutlenecks, "La Traviata", the smell of just-bathed babies, hats, live music, Chucks, finishing a song, craft fairs, the smell of a freshly painted room, 80s hair bands, board games, butter-pecan ice cream, pedicures, a completely cleaned house, spur-of-the-moment parties, reading on a raft in a pool, soft blankets, Razorback sports, museums, roller coasters, brand new white socks, Halloween, guitar hero, bubble baths, REALLY cold cokes, spirited debates, southern accents, pina coladas and getting caught in the rain...
Some things that I DON'T like:
Road trips, Phil Collins, liver, being given the brush-off, people who drive slow in the left lane, rudeness, girls who dress up to go to the gym, rodents, drama of the real-life variety, cats, licorice, root beer, cigarettes, slow internet, condescension, unloading a dishwasher, the fact that I'm always late for everything, boy bands, panty hose, judgmental people, window shopping, sitting still, the price of gasoline, people that can't differentiate between "your" and "you're", "their" and "there","too" and "to", "who's" and "whose" or "it's" and "its", sensible shoes, crow's feet, changes of plans, the color yellow, and the status quo.
Music
Music is my passion. All of it. Playing it, singing it, listening to it, studying it, writing it, and recording it. I love music and I love musicians. Anyone who hangs with me generally has a music obsession of their own. There isn't any genre that I hate across the board, but there are definitely some that I like better than others. I tend to gravitate toward hard, loud rock with a definite groove. I'm not generally a fan of rap or hip-hop, or R&B but there are definitely exceptions to that. I love great female singers and have been influenced by Ann Wilson to Aretha Franklin, Pat Benatar to Etta James, or Patsy Cline to Maria Callas. I respect anyone who can get up on a stage and give an amazing live show. I love to see raw, real performances and feel the energy that you can't get anywhere else but being right up front at a loud, raucous, packed out venue.
My current favorite band is Family Force 5 - you MUST check them out and drive as far as you have to in order to catch one of their shows. And these guys, Nailpoint - they are my other brothers and will rock your faces off...
Movies
Where do you think the nickname "ScreemQueen" came from?....if it's in the scary movie section, chances are I've seen it. If you know me at all then you know my love for horror movies. Good ones, bad ones, funny or gross, I love them. I take a lot of crap for it but anyone that is close to me just laughs at this point.
Other favorites include: comedies like "This Is Spinal Tap",or "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy". I always like a good chick flick when I need to cry and let out some stress - I know every line to "Steel Magnolias", any John Hughes movie from 1984 - on (I don't know how many times I've seen "Pretty in Pink" or "The Breakfast Club"). I'm a sucker for both real documentaries as well as "mockumentaries" so anything by Christopher Guest - A Mighty Wind, Waiting For Guffman, Best In Show - is always good.
Television
Since Buffy went off the air, everything else is pretty much crap.
I must say that as long as it involves some kind of skill, I'm a sucker for reality TV. I don't have a lot of time to watch a regular show but I DVR "Project Runway", "American Idol", and "America's Next Top Model".
Books
I might be a little obsessive with these books lately, and I hate myself for it...
Fiction: Chick lit for the pool, mysteries (Dean Koontz is my all-time favorite mystery writer), anything by Frank Peretti and Ted Dekker,
Nonfiction - The Bible, biographies, autobiographies, "The Ragamuffin Gospel", "The Divine Romance" by Gene Edwards - (life-changing, and if you are a big screw-up like I am, you will need to read it more than once. I should probably just get it in hardcover.)
Heroes
Jesus Christ, and everyone else is a little anticlimactic after that, wouldn't you agree? Even the best human being on the planet will fail someone at some point.

About me:
I have the temperament of a musician - that will explain just about everything.
I'm a girly-girl. I don't mind getting my hands dirty, as long as there is a plan in place to wash them immediately afterwards with some kind of soap that smells good.
I love all things Sephora.
I am passionate about everything, good and bad. Supposedly there is someplace called "middle ground", but I'm not familiar with it. I've been told by more than one person that it's at once my greatest strength and my greatest weakness.
I love Christ. And He loves me. That doesn't mean I have all of the answers or that I have it all together.
Sometimes I suprise people...take that however you like.
I also try to keep up with current events and the issues af fecting us today. This video sums it all up:

That would be cool. What do you mean cold? it was a scorching 20 degrees this morning when I left for work. We're having a heat wave come through. But won't last long supposed to be back to single digits in the next few days.
