in zeiten von sich selbst entlarvenden casting-sendungen, des wegbrechens von substanz auf allen ebenen, in denen integrität nur noch synonym für abgeklärte selbstironie sein darf. durch die selbstverständlichkeit von kurzlebigen trends, der direkten verfügbarkeit unüberschaubar vieler neuer bands jeden tag. im verstreichen lassen der jahre, die unsere unmittelbare zukunft prägen werden wie kein anderes zeitalter jemals zuvor, in denen sich ständiger wandel auf allen ebenen dennoch nur in blindem aktivismus zu reflektieren scheint. in diesen, unseren zeiten ist das fass längst übergelaufen. wir zünden es an.

SCÜM sind ein vierköpfiges massaker aus frankfurt am main. groovender hardcore der alten schule wird durchschnitten von kantigen thrash-riffs, knackige basslines werden von galoppierenden rhythmen gejagt. zwischen kehligem gesang und crew-shouts fängt die luft an zu brennen, mit einem fetten grinsen zeigt die band der szenepolizei den gestreckten mittelfinger. irgendwo zwischen dem zorn der alten raised fist, dem groove von suicidal tendencies und der in-your-face-attitude des new york hardcore wird ein kompromissloses live-set entfacht, nach dem keine fragen mehr offen bleiben.

in times of self-revealing casting shows, the total loss of substance at all levels, in times when integrity is only accepted as a synonym for self-irony. by the short-lived self evidence of trends, the availability of uncountable new bands every day. in letting the years pass by, that will shape our immediate future like no other age ever before, while constant change at all levels only seem to be reflected in blind activism. this day and age, the last straw has fallen upon the camels back. we‘ll set it on fire.

SCÜM are a four-man massacre from frankfurt am main, germany. grooving old school hardcore is intersected by thrash-riffs, punchy bass lines are hunted by galloping rhythms. between guttural singing and crew-shouts the air is set on fire, with a big grin the band shows their middle finger to the scene‘s police. somewhere between the anger of old raised fist, the groove of suicidal tendencies and the in-your-face attitude of new york hardcore they spark an uncompromising live set after which no more questions remain open.
