Scurvy Dogs began when Evan(Bass) and Mike(Drums) started jamming together in the fall of 1998. They soon recruited Sean(Guitar), Sam(Guitar) and Matt(vocals) to complete the band. The Dogs debut was at a Libertatia Campout on June 19th 1999. We did some crappy demo tape stuff and eventually recorded a self titled 7'' on Pyrate Punx Records in 2000-Recorded by our friend Skot B. Sean was tired of our shit so he quit later that year. A replacement guitarist was attempted, failed and we decided that there really wasn't a need for two guitars. Our next recording was the CD-Rong CDR which came out in 2001-with recording credits also going to Skot B. 2003 was the year we released our only full length. Titled "its all gonna end" it was recorded by Bart Thurber at the House of Faith in Oakland. It was released by Inspired By Angst records on vinyl and by Inspired By Angst/Rodent Popsicle on CD. Scurvy Dogs also went out on their first tour in 2003. We traveled south to LA and Tijuana and north to Seattle and Portland with some other places in between. Evan quit in 2003 and we were able to trick Wyatt into joining the band in his place. We did a month long U.S. tour in 2004. Again with Bart at the House of faith we recorded three songs in August of 2004 and two songs in May of 2005. These songs would become the "relieve yourself" 7" . It was released in the U.S. by Tankcrimes and in Europe on Kangaroo Records during 2005. Scurvy Dogs went on their longest tour in 2005. We spent six weeks in Europe beginning and ending in Amsterdam. The band played its last show at Burnt Ramen on April 15th 2006. Mike, Wyatt, and Sam are still playing together. They recruited a new singer (Heather) and decided to name their band Abrupt. Matt is also in a new band. They call themselves Fix My Head. Evan is currently playing drums in a band called Crawl. Sean is in a band called Police and Thieves playing guitar.
