Locomotive Engineer? What? How in the hell did I get myself into this! I work for CSX Transportizzle. My route is the OL L&N. Louisville to Nashville. 187 miles of mainline railroad. My Step father is a signal maintainer. His father was a clerk for L&N on 11th and Broadway. I guess thats the answer, How this ol hippie dude is now an engineer. If you can't tell I love my work. What man would'nt. The long hours away from home is hard. The long hours on the rails. I most enjoy the old heads and their stories. Old time KY history. Caboose culture. hehe.
I have been playing Guitar ever since I was 14. With my first paper route money i bought a Fender sunburst guitar. 400 bucks. I was playing Gratetful Dead and John Prine. Easy stuff. I have always been aroung music. My father and his two brothers played for Folk mass at church. My father Joe and Uncle Jimmy were my first influences. They are still my favorite band!
Later I started playing Mandolin. Todd Osborn moved into the humble house bringing in his Kentucky KM650. I play it now. He moved on to other Gibsons.
I really play West African Djembe. Thats my choice.
More on that later.
Hello there! If I've already been in touch on this please bear with me but I'm trying to get the word out about www. indianapolissongwriterscafe. com
I'm working to create a place that ties together all the people, places & events that are relevant for an Indianapolis songwriter or a fan of this kind of music. There's also a community calendar (that needs a lot of dates added to it) that will soon be a one-stop shop for any songwriterish shows going on around Indy.
If you'd really like to help spread the word I'd be grateful as can be if you copied the little piece of code from either the ISC website or myspace page to display the banner on your page. Just drop me a line if you'd like to but aren't sure how.

Ahh the 6022! Brings back memories of me running down the hill with you on the floor sleeping and Arty in the conductor seat. I wonder if the ole 6022 sucked for the Chessie like it sucks for us!
Nieem and I fixed the wheel on your train today. He said you called him and needed help. We decided it was the axle. We fixed it and all is good now. :)
