I currently deployed to Iraq at COB Speicher until mid-December. I will be in San Antonio for my 10yr HS reunion (oh hell..10 years!) I will be back in San Diego for New Years and won't be working a damn until I deploy again on or just after March 1st for another 5 months... At least I'll get to enjoy August in SoCal...

About me:

The name is James. I'm 28 going on 50 (mentally) lol j/k. I'm originally from Texas but have called San Diego CA home since I flew the coup in 1999... I served 8.5 years in the Marine Corps including time in Rhode Island, Okinawa Japan, and two combat deployments to Iraq. My last day in the Corps was January 22, 2008. I left because I was outed but luckily as events would have it and the timing of it, I was able to complete my last tour of duty and received an Honorable Discharge with a clean record rather than getting the boot by Uncle Sam. So while DADT was catching up to me, it never caught me. So as you can see, I am gay but my circle of friends doesn't consist of only gay people. I am out, open and honest about my orientation to anyone who wants to know although I won't dare push it on you, unless you want me to ;-) j/k. I make no apologies about it but if we are mutually respectful and open minded, we'll get along just fine. I now work for a defense contractor, General Atomics, doing the same job as I did in the Marines and now I'm on my second deployment as a civilian to Iraq (4th in total) making a good living (financially) but I don't know how much longer I will keep this deployment thing up. After all, I do want to live my life and I can't really do that here especially since I recently closed on a condo in downtown San Diego and am thrilled that I am making one less person rich off my back by not renting.

Who I'd like to meet:

I am single but my ex still lives with me for now (in SD) and we are doing good as friends. I have determined that right now is not the time for me to be in a relationship with work having me deploy out of the country repeatedly so while a piece of me wants to be in a relationship a larger piece of me doesn't. Having said that, I'm not looking for a bf/partner/companion or anything in that realm for the next few years or until my career allows me to be stationary for a while. So for now I am looking to just have fun and that doesn't mean screwing every guy I see although I am a sucker for "bromance." I like level headed guys with direction but if that direction is taking them to the local A&F or Hollister... um, not so much. I'm a casual guy and I don't like nor have the time for people telling me my sense of fashion isn't 'status Q'... two words: FUCK OFF! I tend to do well with other military minded people since we relate really well. In addition to the military crowd, I also go well with casual and/or older people regardless of thier orientation. I still like to par-take in the gay scene once in a while so long as I'm with my friends or by myself when I have sucked down a mass amount of alcohol which is rare. ***Note: I'm not a big drinker so after one bud lite, I've got a buzz going... so do the math... I'm a cheap date. lol I ride a crotchrocket (2006 Yamaha R6) and just bought a Silver Rubicon Unlimited (I'll see it when I get back home in December) since I sold my Tacoma so if you ride and or do off roading... hit me up! In addition to all of that, I am a fit minded person (not a gym rat... yet) so if you want to hit up the gym with me, awesome! Just one thing about the gym; I won't stop once I start unless I'm running behind. I don't want to hear "I can't or quit pushing me" that shit sets me off unless you are genuinly hurting from an injury so don't; otherwise I won't work out with you again. I know full well people have different endurance and strength levels so if you can't keep benching all your sets at 150lbs... fine no biggy, go lighter, just finish the exercise! Same for pushups.. if you can't do a proper one after being worn out.. go on your knees instead of your toes or ask for a spot, that's what a buddy is for.
