About me: The Mission of the South Dallas Cultural Center: To present and produce excellence in the arts of the African Diaspora.
..
Who I'd like to meet: If the black experience is what you crave, the South Dallas Cultural Center is where you belong! We offer everything from classes for the education-minded to finger-poppin' jazz jams for the young and old hipsters.
Our exhibits always bring a new vision while our theater offerings stretch the most intellectual theater lover. From August Wilson to Alice Childress, from Sterling Houston to Progress Theatre, we put the best Black playwrights from then to now on center-stage.
Need a place for your children to connect to their African past while challenging their creative spirit, then you should check us out. We can record your latest CD in our full service recording studio or help you create a digital story of your family history in our video production studio. And if you need a unique place to host your organization's reception, our beautiful lobby gallery could just fit the bill.
So visit us at: 3400 S. Fitzhugh Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75210 or call us at 214/939-ARTS.
