   RRFM San Diego's Blurbs
About me:
The Really, Really Free Market (RRFM) movement is a non-hierarchical collective of individuals who form a temporary market based on an alternative gift economy. The RRFM movement aims to counteract capitalism in a non-reactionary way. It holds as a major goal to build a community based on sharing resources, caring for one another and improving the collective lives of all. Markets often vary in character, but they generally offer both goods and services. Participants bring unneeded items, food, skills and talents such as entertainment or haircuts. A RRFM may take place in an open community space such as a public park or community commons.

Why?

It's time to share everything you can think of.

There's enough for everyone.

Sharing is more fulfilling than owning.

Corporations would rather the landfills overflow than anyone get anything for free.

Scarcity is a myth constructed to keep us at the mercy of the economy.

Sunny day outside is better than anything money could buy.

"Free trade" is a contradiction in terms.

No one should have to do without food, shelter, entertainment, and community.

If you are interested in helping the collective organize or have resources you would like to donate before the event you can contact us at sdfreemarket@gmail.com

It is up to us to operate the distribution-of-resources-project because our current system is not really about distribution at all. Capitalism is actually the opposite of a distribution system: concentration of resources and limits on access.
There is too such thing as a free lunch: The one we make ourselves!

I plan to take some drinking glasses that I don't use.
Would it be a bad idea to take a 14-piece kitchen knife set?
