In 1997, in a city were Improv's and Cypher's took place, a dream was created from a humble mind, geared to reach out and share talents and info of a world not yet tapped. Where a new beginning can take place and dedicated minds can thrive. Yet early in the 21st century, everything we knew to be real, would drastically change before our very eyes. Like 1,368 ft of concrete and steel plummeting to the ground zero, San Diego took a turn, now in a dog eat dog world, it's survival of the fittest, and the early birds are out. Movement after movement to uplift outside the barrel, we move on.
SDHIPHOP.COM was the 1st website tailored to bring the San Diego Hip Hop Community together. While great milestones and achievments were made, so did the start of the destruction of something great. The owners of this website put all thier time and own money into promoting this website for 8 years. Many sleepless nights and countless conflicts were just some of the many battles we faced. Some worth while and others rediculous. Through breaking down barriers at the 4th n B, City Beat, and The Reader to finally getting many artists inside magazines and even ON STAGE at the Music Awards. SDHIPHOP.COM's efforts were thwarted by the crab in the barrel movement.
