STEREO DE LUXE are a slick and twisted Berlin production duo; multi-instrumentalists Tom Krimi and DJ/vocalist Kassi Wolf who collaborate with various guest singers including wordless vocal-juggler Hartmut Lippstueck, Agent Annie, members of the band Sweet Machine (Peaches' live band), and members of the band SOL.
Their debut album was Glam-o-Rama (2000) on Germany’s Bungalow Records. (Below left) The pair have since had releases on Freddy Fresh's Howlin’ Records (USA), Plastic Raygun (UK), Escalator (Japan) and Pussycat (Spain).
Monosyllabic (above) is only their second full length album and consequently something of a ‘best of’. It brings together the incredible range of material recorded since their debut. While some of these tracks have been sporadically released, the album also contains many completely new cuts and bubblin’ remixes.
It will come as no surprise to learn that the tight, punchy tones of Stereo de Luxe have already won them numerous advertising and TV syncs including a multi-award winning advertising campaign (Silver at the Clios and the One Show in New York and Bronze at the Austrian ADC awards and Cannes Lions in 2002).
