Cumberland County residents are calling out their county mayor and commissioners for waiving the Jackson Law to allow plans for a toxic coal ash dump to proceed.
The proposal calls for construction of a landfill -- in the name of "mine reclamation" -- at the old Turner mine site that sits in the highly toxic Sewanee coal seam.
