Sea is Gabriela Dinca, born on 22nd of March, in 1987. Growing up by the shores of the Black Sea has developed her sensitive side and so she became an young lady full of dreams and imagination, willing to conquer the world through the elecronic music. By saying that, she grew up on the electronic rhythms, starting with new age.ENIGMA was the begining of her discoveries, being the guidance to this journey full of fascination. Captured under the influence of great artists such as Mike Oldfield, Jean-Michel Jarre, Vangelis, her wish was to follow a music school since a fragile age, but her parents did not agree. Still, at the age of 15 she decided to apply for the Art Highschool, despite of the family expectations.
Her talent was discovered first by a very influential choir director, who encoureged her to follow this path. Sea started to study music seriously and took piano lessons, music's theory, composing, jazz history and singing lessons, as well as many others. During 4 years she has been a part of one of the best choirs of Romania, implied in many activities such as international contests and festivals.
One year later, at 16 years old, she met a famous married couple of opera singers that were about to change her life. Madeleine and John Pascu became her mentors, her inspiration and prepared Gabriela for her future on the OPERA stage. They introduced her to other opera singers of the National Opera of Constanta and Bucharest.
For about 3 intensive years of study in her mentors' studio, at the age of only 19 years old she touched the level of a grown up voice of Lirical Soprano and going to Dramatical Soprano. Her powerful voice was a promising start for this career, but her old dreams did not include following next the Conservatory.
Though she was really apreciated at national concerts in her city such as those on the Italy's day, where she performed solo arias by Puccini, Mozart and Verdi, she realised at the begining of the summer of '05, that her true call was to become a DJ.
In the summer of 2005, she had the great oportunity to meet Markus Schulz, which was an amazing experience, confirming her strong desires for becoming a music producer.
Starting with the first appearence on ETN.fm by the support of David Emonin, she became a resident dj at Dreamscapes show on the Progressive Channel, enchanting every month people from all over the world with her ambient sets.
Since Gabriela's scene name was starting to grow she decided to approach different styles and so in 2006 on DI.fm Sea had Progressive Breaks mixes broadcast.
Presently, Sea's style is Tech-House, which can be recognized at artists like Sasha, Stephan Bodzin, John Digweed, Gui Boratto, James Holden, Guy Gerber and many others.
Meantime, another passion of Sea's since childhood, Visual Arts (Photography), has been remarked by the CoverGirl Agency from US, that has been followed by an one year contract. Sea's messages and feelings can be found not only in music, but also in her photo artworks. In this way, she's always trying to create a syncretism of arts (vision and sounds). "My purpose is not to create an image of myself as a woman. I just want to express my deepest thoughts about love, humans, nature and universal secrets, in the most freely way. 2007 has been really great for her DJ career, and Sea is preparing a new radio show and wants to put the bases of her own studio. There are already scheduled many guest mixes at radios such as DI.fm, Sense.fm, C.fm and many others to come.

glad to have your news, sweety! cross my fingers for the xams! i'm sorry too for not having been able to meet each other,but we will! ;) i enjoyed staying at home, but the heat killed me, some of the time i've been even sick cuz of that! blaaaaah!though, loads of stuff happened, bad and good. nothing to complain though:)trying to stick to the pozitive attitude! haha and, yes, i don't know where the hell this summer went by already! good, then, sweety, send you loads of kisses and pozitive thoughts ;) and hope to see you soon on skype so we can catch up. have a great week-end! ps: me so sad i didn't make it to the seaside this summer:(
