Also among our guests was last years song-contest winner JIM RADFORD a fine singer, with an extensive repertoire of songs and shanties. We will also showed the film featuring Jim and his song about the Normandy landings during WW11 titled ' May Day - Tugs of War'.......................... For the children we had Tales in an Igloo on West Pier- no Polar Bears though I'm afraid-at least not yet!

The second annual song competition 'A Song for the Sea' took place on Saturday 19th July. and the winner was Wendy Arrowsmith with her song 'Sleep well till Morning'. The runner up was Adrian O. The final for the 'Song of the Year' will be held in Staithes during October.Entries are being accepted for next years Sea Song ..Competition so get in touch.

Scarboroughs Seafest is a fun filled weekend for all the family. It all happens around West Pier and in the unique atmosphere of some of Scarboroughs quayside pubs.
In addition to that it is a seriously good music festival presenting the best of maritime music .
From Friday to Sunday you will enjoy the sound of sea music, shanties and folk musicians. Visiting vessels at the quay.Childrens entertainment.A Real Ale Bar, a unique fireworks display, sea-fish cookery demonstrations and many more attractions.
Its also a chance to lean more about the variety of seafood available and about the regeneration of our Fishing Industry.
Klondike Folk Arts were partners in the founding of the festival 9 years ago and are proud to be associated with the event today.
