"C. Greene" is a Hard-Bop Jazz Pianist, Funk Keyboardist, Composer, and Producer. This highly
intuitive musician was born in Detroit and grew up on the West side, where his love affair with the piano began as
soon as he could crawl up on the bench. He was steeped in the old-school gospel music of the church as a child and then
spent his teen years studying the recordings of the masters of Jazz, Blues, and R&B, leading his own band ( Jazz Prophets), and
sneaking into the bars and lounges of the Motor City to listen and learn from the "Old Cats". His youthful tenacity
even enabled him to meet John Coltrane and Thelonious Monk backstage at Cobo Arena in 1966.
He has toured with
several Motown acts (the Spinners, 4 Tops, Jimmy Ruffin), and also worked with Richard "Groove" Holmes, Ernestine
Anderson, Laura Lee, Marcus Belgrave, Jerald Daemyon, and many, many others.
Currently, Greene is producing music projects, playing solo, and free-lancing with Jazz, Blues, R&B, and Reggae bands in the Midwest and South Florida.

The "UNOMI" CD was a collaboration between C. Greene and Detroit Rap/Spoken Word artist Unomi. Greene produced the tracks and Unomi provided the flow. The songs here also feature vocals from Audrey Northington (Last Call), and Michael Brock (No Lies). The CD is available at: cdbaby.com/cd/unomi
