About Sealife

It's always been about the music.

Songs that touch the soul, aching melodies delivered by a voice that bears all the hope and melancholy of a man who once played 300 funerals in five months as a crematorium organist.

Like a harder-edged Doves who've poached a hungover Tim Booth from James, soaring Bunnymen guitars glue themsleves to insistent rhythms. Words that speak to everyone that finds hope within adversity, floating on tunes which stick in the mind long after you first hear them.

Ben Beer’s original plan was to use a revolving kaleidoscope of musicians to bring his songs to life in concert. But then came David. And Dan. And Andy. Who fitted perfectly. And a few days after they had first all stood in a room together, and after a unannounced debut, they played to half of London’s industry movers at two hastily-arranged shows. Which is where the story really begins.

It's always been about the music.
