In 1995, whilst working in a local eatery washing pots, Will heard a magical tape where tunes started but never seemed to finish. After closer inspection he was told that this was mixing and that you used turntables to mix records, and that is exactly what he started to do. Will has been Djing since, producing for about six years, uses Reason and Ableton amongst other things to make music, and takes influence from too many artists to mention here but needless to say the weirder the noises the more he likes it.
Hailing from the hill's of Yorkshire, he's been involved with many local free-party soundsystems, the most notable being The Toil Sound System and The very tidy pirates. "I guess a little bit of my heart will always be in the fields and illegal buildings where all this partying really started :)"
Currently co-organiser and resident dj @ Switch, York, and a part of Soulspun Ltd UK - a team of people dedicated to all aspects of a damn good party.
"I have a vast record collection and it crosses many genres so this is perfect for me!" Played such events and venues as Cabbage - www.cabbage-leeds.org.uk , Turnmills, Klash, Beatherder Festival, Maawbray Festival, Sheffstock, Tidy Pirates, Camoflage Disco, Throb, Ragga Tip, Toil Soundsystem, Mango (Ibiza), Nato, Hard Times, Dervish, Turbulence and Blackout.
Will is now in production of his third album ~ a blend of all that is good in underground music ~ including minimal, psy, dubstep, afrobeat, breaks, techno and chill~out, to name a few!
Will has also been part of the Beatherder festival (www.beatherder.co.uk) running the Toil Trees for the second year running. "Beatherder is the best of the non-commercial festivals - all funded by a small group of friends who really love the ethos of the free party vibe! "Everyone you meet there has a smile on their face, even in the face of mud mud mud!"
Finally this year expect to catch Will playing various festivals across the UK and also gigs in Dubai (October) and Hungary (new years eve) and other such places!
