Andrew	Feb 22 2008 7:23 PM Dane Williams Suspicious Death Reward Increased to $10,000 Release Date: February 21, 2008 San Diego County Crime Stoppers, working with the San Diego Police Department’s homicide unit, is seeking any information regarding the suspicious death of Dane Williams. Jack’s Surfboards in Huntington Beach is offering an additional reward of $9,000 for any information that leads to a felony arrest in this case. This reward, coupled with Crime Stoppers $1,000, now brings the total reward to $10,000. On January 26, 2008, 23-year-old Dane Williams, an employee of Hurley International, attended a convention at the San Diego Convention Center. He was last seen at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Saturday morning leaving a Gaslamp area bar. On January 29, 2008, at approximately 6:30 a.m., a citizen saw a body lying in the North alley of 5200 Landis Street. The body was later identified as Dane Williams. The cause and manner of Williams’ death is still undetermined. Anyone with any information on Dane Williams’ death is asked to call the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (888) 580-TIPS. Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $10,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to a felony arrest. Media inquiries should be directed to: • Questions regarding the homicide should be directed to Lt. Kevin Rooney at (619) 531-2425. • Questions regarding Crime Stoppers should be directed to Officer Jim Johnson at (619) 531-1500 or Deputy Adriana Uribe at (619) 531-1547. For information leading to an arrest, you could receive up to a $10,000 reward and remain anonymous. The qualification of any person(s) for the reward and the amount of the reward for any person(s) so qualifying will be determined by San Diego County Crime Stoppers, Inc, in its sole discretion. The amount of all rewards given shall not exceed $10,000. Information must be received on the tip line, (888) 580-TIPS.

Andrew	Jan 29 2008 8:46 AM SAN DIEGO -- A 23-year-old man, in town for a convention last week, has disappeared and his family and friends are hoping someone knows what happened to him. Dane Chandler Williams was last seen on Saturday at 2 a.m. at 6th Avenue and K Street in downtown San Diego. Authorities said he has not been heard from since. He did not return to his hotel room or show up for work. Jason Marsh, Williams's cousin, told NBC 7/39 Dane was in town attending the ASR Convention at the San Diego Convention Center last week. He arrived from his home in Huntington Beach on Thursday. Marsh said his cousin went out partying with friends on Friday night at the Hard Rock Hotel and was last seen walking down the street alone. Marsh said Williams never returned to his hotel room at the Sheraton. When officials went into his room, his clothes, luggage and Mac book were still in the room. "He didn't disappear on his own. Something happened and I don't know what it is. Nobody does," said Williams mom. Williams is 6 feet 1 inch tall, 175 pounds with blond hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black shirt with white stripes and blue jeans. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the San Diego Police Department at 619-531-2000.
