Here is a song that was written for me.. this will explain who I am... "Sean Claes Rocks Like Slayer" by Adam Donmoyer and the Naughty Bits.
I am Sean Claes.
I started writing when I was very little and very young. Those early stories had a lot of typos. They were mostly about green-faced witches and playing with friends. I began writing about bands in 1996 when I moved up to San Marcos to finish college. My first story was on Jerry Jeff Walker. What an introduction to the world of entertainment. Since then I've interviewed lots of folks... area musicians like Terri Hendrix, Patrice Pike, Guy Forsyth, She Craves, Blue October, Powderburn, and Walt Wilkins... and national musicians like Phil Anselmo, Jet, Darius Rucker, Hank Williams III, Duff McKagan, Darrell Scott, HURT, Tom Araya, In Flames, Jason Mraz, Garth Brooks, and others.
On a personal note, I'm totally in love with my wife, Jodie (married in 10/01), and daughters Marlee (born in 4/04) and Harper (born in 4/07).
We live just south of Austin, Texas...; closer to Gruene Hall (Gruene, TX), Cheatham Street Warehouse (San Marcos), and The Salt Lick (Driftwood, TX), but not so far away from Austin's La Zona Rosa, Flamingo Cantina, Red Eyed Fly and Dirty Dog Bar.
I am the Managing Editor for INsite Magazine (Since February 2005). INsite is Austin's other entertainment magazine.
Oh, and if you put a big 'ol .JPG on my "comment" place.. I'll probably delete it... If you need to SPAM me, at least do it in a private message. If you just post "Thanks for the add" I'm deleting the message. That's a non-message. AND... if you ask for an "add me" request and don't follow up with a private mnessage and I don't know you... it ain't happening.

I'd also like to meet and help promote good bands that I can believe in. I'd like to meet interesting people and help tell their story.
We have a huge show this Friday!!!!! Possibly the biggest ever!!!!! One of the best line ups we've ever played on!!!! It doesn't get much bigger than this!!!! I don't think Austin Texas is ready for this one!!!!! If you've never seen us, this is the one you should see!!!! If you've seen us before....It won't get much better than this one!!!!

I am extemely happy to have found this organization which includes some wonderful local musicians/heroes that I can personlly vouch for. I hope to continue to be a staple for this group and help spread the message of suicide prevention which is deeply close to my heart. NoResolve. org's goal is to raise awareness concerning suicide and depression through music, charitable events and educational programs. We believe that we can make a positive difference by supporting suicide prevention and postvention efforts in communities, along with offering hope and comfort to those who are left behind.
