Garrett pushes the boundaries of what we perceive to be cutting edge music by recontextualizing the elements of symphonic rock and progressive metal with a modern melodic rock feel. His lyrical imagery and impassioned vocal prowess finds him conquering new boundaries. His sound is uniquely his own, yet it pays homage to those musical masters that came before him. "I am looking to get back the same feeling I had when I all first started writing music. When I start thinking beyond that, about wanting to keep up with the latest musical trends or about fitting in with somebody else's format that's when I lose sense of purpose. For me music is a spiritual journey, it allows me to contribute towards a peaceful world through the global language we call music. All the things I talk about in my songs are personal and real.
