When you sit in a room with Sean Jones, you are struck by his incredibly strong presence, depth of soul and honesty. The faith he has in himself, his music, and his WIDEawake Chief Production office with a steady determination to get it right is inspirational. Sean and his producer Maurice Jones Jr. (no relation) completed HIS well received debut collection entitled "This Is Love" In fall of 2008.

When Sean officially signed with WIDEawake Entertainment Group in June 2008, everyone hit the ground running and the team continues to go full steam with plans for an EMI distributed world releases.

Sean's musical pedigree reads like Canadian music blue blood. His first group BMG male vocal quintet IN Essence won a Juno for best R&B soul recording and that same year won the MuchMusic R&B best video award for the hit "Friend Of Mine." But that was not enough for the intensely focused and determined Sean.

Sean has already started to write and record his next album, with a strong emphasis on the songs, simplicity of melody and lyric, and of course Sean’s signature story telling singer/songwriter style. As always, daring to break the mold, Sean says, “there will be guitars”

“They say the digital world makes an even playing field for independent artists. I always want a direct relationship with my fans so we can grow together. I want to send them fresh songs, remixes and video blogs as often as I can. People who log on to my site will be richly rewarded,” assures Sean.

"And of course for me, it's all about playing live as much as possible. We're always going to upload some great shows on line as well."

Sean is busier than ever. He kicked off 2009 with a massive Q1 nation wide tour with Divine Brown. Following the tour Sean and his fellow musicians hosted the first annual "Hope Springs Eternal" charity event to benefit Eva's Initiatives. Sean is committed to working with street youths in Toronto through Eva's Initiatives. He is heavily vested in working with the charity's endeavors to mentor and house street youths in Toronto.

The multi talented Jones will also be stepping into the acting arena in several upcoming feature films. One thing for sure, whether your experience be a radio interview, a live concert or a one on one conversation, you will not soon forget Sean Jones.
