So here's my story. I was born in Noorvik Alaska on the banks of the Kobuk river and that's why my middle name is Kobuk (co-buck). I was one of those kids who constantly did air guitar in my living room with a tennis racket or tied scarves around a broomstick and pretended I was Steven Tyler of Aerosmith (we're talkin "Toys in the Attic" era).------------------------------------------------------------------------------------My first band gig was singing Ramones covers in Jr High but after I got my first guitar I became the lead guitarist for many bands during high school and college. I listened to everything from Iron Maiden to Public Enemy to U2 to Caetano Veloso. The only common denominator for me is emotional intensity. A song has to grab me and I have to believe that the people playing it are living for that song.----------------------------------------------------------------So, after college I started to write and sing and wound up in a band with my brother Darren out in San Francisco. We played some great shows including the Burning Man festival (thanks to our bassist Dave Saull) but ultimately I just wanted to go in different musical directions than that band could go. I moved back to Ithaca and wrote over 100 songs in many different styles. I started recording at home and wound up at Wilburland working with Matt Saccuccimorano recording "Angels in the Rearview Mirror".-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------So now I'm a singer/songwriter in search of a band. I want to play rock music that is free from the cynicism and macho bs that often accompanies that culture. Something with intelligence, heart and room for spontaneous expression.
I just recently got up on iTunes And it would be very cool If you checked that shizzle out As well as the new demos And lyrics on my page And let meknow what you thought! It would also be uber coolio If we started talking a lot more on here And became bffs Not like Jill though... tehe I figure if we're myspace friends We should talk on herre then!
What are you looking forward tomost about this winter? Peace and love ttyl
Come join the celebration over the release of our new CD – Boteco!!
‘Boteco’ is an artful mixture of neo-futuristic traditional Brazilian rhythms with the right quantity of the best North American spices. It is funk and rock boiling and baking with samba, maracatu, frevo and baiao.
Put Pele and Mohammed Ali in a fictional mix machine. Now add Frank Zappa, Sergio Mendes, Tom Jobim and Roger Waters and fused in to one. What a mix eh? Bat Makumba is this fusion, multiplied by 2.
CD Release Parties: 10/31 Someday Lounge – Portland, OR 11/01 Cozmic Pizza – Eugene, OR 11/06 Moe’s Alley – Santa Cruz, CA 11/07 The Old Ironsides – Sacramento, CA 11/13 The Great American Music Hall – San Francisco, CA 11/21 Stage Door – Mount Shasta, CA 12/04 Harp Inn – Costa Mesa, CA 12/05 Santa Monica Bar & Grille – Santa Monica, CA ...more to come

Hey Sean, Thanks for the ad. Got your songs streaming. Would like to pass something along to your friends and fans.
We as Americans are about to lose another RIGHT! No, I'm not kidding. The CRB (Copyright Royalty Board) has imposed a new payment structure for internet broadcasters. They want them to pay 125% royalties to the RIAA and record companies. This will close most of them down, only the RICH with deep pockets will stream. And then they will pass that along to you, by the way of ads and charging fees to listen. They want to take away your right to listen to music on the internet. We encourage everyone to write Congress. Please visit this site to write your local Congressman and tell them you oppose having another one of your rights taken from you. Contact Congress.
You can also sign a petition here Save your right to free internet music. You can also visit our site WGADNET, we are broadcasting PSAs on this and have a video too. This will effect mostly broadcasters who stream Commercial music, but may eventually effect streamers of Independent music as well. WGADNET streams only Independent Music, for the INDEPENDENT.
Please help us keep music alive online. MySpace users will proably be hit next. So take heed and please help put a stop to this! Independent webcasters do more than just stream music, we provide PSAs (Public Service Announcements) and help lost kids get home through Amber Alerts. You can also help by posting comments and links on your sites.
Thanks from your friends at WGADNET
Yo, we just played a couple of shows and they went pretty well so we're gunna start playing out (30 minute sets), if you ever need a opener or anything like that hit us up. I'd love to play with the Dana John and You project sometime too if you want.
